Face Wash is so important. AM I Right?

Men, women and teenagers alike use face wash on a daily basis.

šŸšØThat means daily exposure to toxins using products that open our pores.

Yuck no thanks. šŸ˜µ

My Amazon search this morning was a pretty big bummer but to be honest itā€™s what I expected.

šŸ‘€ Look at all these ditches I came up withā€¦.

I was disgusted by the ingredients.

Some of them had way more than a few ingredients to avoid and to me itā€™s really sad. Really sad because most people just donā€™t know that these toxins have such a bad effect on their bodies. So hopefully the breakdown below will help.

Letā€™s look and know there are more on the market with other bad ingredients not listed.

āŒParabens ā€“Ā  A preservative that is linked to a variety of cancersā€¦ most prominently breast cancer. It has estrogen mimicking properties and wreaks havoc on our hormones.

āŒFragrance ā€“ (Unspecified/ Parfum). Artificial fragrances are usually to blame in cases of chemical sensitivity, allergic reactions, and rashes. Many of the thousands of chemicals hidden in ā€œfragranceā€ are known carcinogens and endocrine disruptors.

āŒSLS

A harsh chemical known to damage hair and irritate skin. Originally developed as a garage floor degreaser. Can cause inflamed skin, eyes, and lungs, and damage internal organs.

āŒCocamide Mea ā€“ An ethanolamine compound that can create nitrosamines linked to cancer

āŒDMDM Hydantoin ā€“ This ingredient is a formaldehyde-releasing antimicrobial preserving agent. Formaldehyde is a recognized human carcinogen.

āŒPhenoxyethanol ā€“ Neurotoxic concerns, damaging to dna and especially toxic to babies.

Often found in products that claim to be clean.

āŒPEGs (Polyethylene Glycol) ā€“Ā  a group of ingredients with the prefix ā€œPEG-ā€ followed by a number. They are made by the process of ethoxylation in which carcinogenic ethylene oxide is reacted with other ingredients to make them less harsh on the skin. As a result of the ethoxylation process, 1,4-dioxane is created and can be left behind in the product.

āŒMethylisothiazolinone ā€“ A known allergen that can cause skin irritation and may also cause damage to the central nervous system with prolonged exposure.

Donā€™t worry I am about to share my absolute favorite face washes. I personally alternate them but Iā€™m especially fond of the charcoal and I noticed a difference in my skin within a week of using it.
